Tell us about yourself. 

I’ve lived in Sand Springs for most of my life. I have one human child, two canine children, and seven nieces & nephews.

What hobbies do you enjoy? 

Reading. Writing. Crushing the patriarchy.


Where did you attend high school? 

Charles Page High School - Class of ‘99


What extra-curricular activities were you involved in when you were in high school? 

Drama, French club, Key club, FCA, Journalism (I wrote for the Sandtonian)

How long have you been in education? 

This is my ninth year teaching


What/who inspired you to become a teacher? 

In no particular order, Ms. Simmons, Ms. Baker, and Charles Dickens

What is the best thing about working in the Sand Springs school district? 

Sometimes the cafeteria workers (the real GOATs) give us free soup. But also, we have supportive coworkers, administrators, and community.


What advice do you have for high school students? 

Never let the fear of not knowing the “right answer” keep from you from shooting your shot. Trial and error is the only way any of us ever learn.
