Northwoods invited all veterans to attend an assembly that is put on by the 5th grade class. Many friends and families joined during the celebration, including a local veteran named Bob Spear, who played Taps on the trumpet. During the assembly, the classes sang and had speaking parts. The students have been practicing since September preparing for the program. They sang The Star Spangled Banner, The Brave, and The Armed Forces Medley. Some students wrote essays about Veterans and the best were chosen for the program. The following students read their essays-
