Two teachers, one with whipped cream on her face, laughing and holding pie tins

SAND SPRINGS, Okla.— Students at the Sand Springs ECEC recently came together for a great cause: collecting nonperishable food items to benefit Sand Springs Community Services. During their 3rd Annual Bedlam Food Drive, each student cast their vote for their favorite team—OU or OSU—by donating food items.

The stakes were high, as the teacher representing the team with the fewest donations would get pied in the face. In the end, OSU claimed victory with the most donations, but in the spirit of friendly rivalry, both Ms. Jenni (OU) and Ms. Julie (OSU) took a pie to the face!

Because of the generosity of the ECEC community, the school gathered an impressive 843 items, totaling 1,026 pounds and valued at $1,990.

Thank you to everyone who donated to support our community! #StandTallSandites
