Durkee was named one of five Oklahoma educators to receive a 2025 Oklahoma Medal for Excellence. Durkee is the recipient of the Medal for Excellence in Elementary/Secondary Administration. The exciting news was shared with Durkee during a surprise Zoom call with the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence (OFE), where her colleagues celebrated her achievement. To make the moment even more special, Durkee’s family joined the meeting to surprise her and celebrate this well-deserved honor.
