Alesha Spoon at board meeting taking the Oath of Office

During a special meeting of the Sand Springs Board of Education this afternoon, Sand Springs resident Alesha Spoon took the Oath of Office to serve as the representative for Office No. 5. Spoon ran for the position unopposed, succeeding longtime board member Jackie Wagnon.

The board also held its officer reorganization during the meeting. The new leadership includes Whitney Wagers as President, Mike Mullins as Vice President, and Tracy Hanlon as Deputy Clerk.
